ABOUT
You will be mentored in excellence in your arts practise. Even more importantly you will be getting to the very heart of the processes of creative music & visual art, a unique point of our courses. As well, we offer truly breakthrough understandings in the fields of music improvisation, sacred music and healing stage-fright, which are completely unique to the School of Creative Arts Music Faculty.

These courses strip back any doubt or inhibition to being that creative flame that you are. Working with inspiration instead of pathology (which has until now all but extinguished any healing in the arts), you will be learning in a safe and supportive environment which actually values and nurtures self esteem, sensitivity, responsibility, imagination, intuition and originality. This moves arts training out of negative criticism, taste-making and reactionary thinking into enlightened synthesis and healing.

In addition to teaching and mentoring you in maturing your arts practice, you will be developing your own artistic voice right from the start, and encouraged to uncover your unique mission and purpose in your life and art. You will also learn how to be aligned and centered, how to clear your energy field, to connect with your heart and creative source, and how to change your old patterns which are no longer serving you. It's all about creating more awareness in yourself, feeling what it's like to make new choices, and changing your behaviour and responses, so you are adding to the harmony for yourself, those close to you and others on the planet, instead of adding to the problems.

Rupert Guenthe, Head of Music Courses, explains the meaning of sacredness in the arts: "This way of art training, whether in music, visual, dance or literature, gently connects you into your own heart energy and the beautiful healing energies of the planet. In any art process given to healing and rejuvination, you are enjoying feeling your natural essence awakening...it is a very intimate zone. You want tuition which is totally supportive and part of this process, it mustn't get in the way, yet it must run checks and balances to ensure development into maturity, excellence and responsibility. These courses create a safe space of love and self-acceptance on many dimensional levels in which to do just that, to positively experience our own rite of passage. And instead of being beholden to previous traditions, we use them as inspirations in our palette of sound, colour or movement with which we move forward freely into a new more loving future".

VISUAL ARTS

Drawing
Life Drawing - Aligned and Centered
Drawing from the model. Surrender, allow, accept and embrace your creativity and imagination - even if you haven?t explored that relationship yet. We provide; model, some materials, tuition and ambience. Individuals are able to explore with a variety of media and draw at their own pace within a comfortable, safe and inspiring space instructed by the SCA?s experienced artist, Annei Errey.
1) Sat morning 6th Feb - Sat 13th March (6 weeks) and/ or
2) Sat morning 20th March - Sat 17th April (5 weeks)
Time 10.00am - 12.30pm

Life Drawing - alternative option
Thurs evening 4th Feb - Thurs 11th March (6 weeks) then

The Arc of your Mark
Discover Ones individual/ unique mark-making ?signature? through drawing and catch the inspirational buzz. Develop observational skills and drawing techniques using the elements of art. Familiarise yourself with new methods and materials.

If you do get really nervous to the extent that you can?t enjoy or deliver in your performances, this highly effective course will take you through the process which gets to the root of your anxiety and enables you to heal it. You will learn for yourself how to change your patterns which caused you to feel fear instead of joy when you perform. Includes specific take-home techniques and practical tools for on-the-spot use in even the most demanding performances.

Drawing

Life Drawing - Aligned and Centered

Drawing from the model. Surrender, allow, accept and embrace your creativity and imagination - even if you haven’t explored that relationship yet. We provide; model, some materials, tuition and ambience. Individuals are able to explore with a variety of media and draw at their own pace within a comfortable, safe and inspiring space instructed by the SCA’s experienced artist, Annei Errey.

1) Sat morning 6th Feb - Sat 13th March (6 weeks) and/ or

2) Sat morning 20th March - Sat 17th April (5 weeks)

Time 10.00am - 12.30pm

Life Drawing - alternative option

Thurs evening 4th Feb - Thurs 11th March (6 weeks) then

Thurs evening 18th March - 15th April (5 weeks)

$290 - 11 weeks

The Arc of your Mark

Discover Ones individual/ unique mark-making “signature” through drawing and catch the inspirational buzz. Develop observational skills and drawing techniques using the elements of art. Familiarise yourself with new methods and materials.

Week 1 (6 February): Using Line /marks

Week 2 (13 February): Drawing materials/ tone

Week 3 (20 February): Drawing materials/ space / texture

Week 4 (27 February): Understanding colour

Week 5 (6 March): Use of mixed media

Week 6 (13 March): Life drawing
